PHYSICAL ENGINEERING ASSESSMENT
Temple University’s residence halls at Temple Towers (200,000 SF) are scheduled for refurbishments and renovations.  The facility was constructed in 1971 and acquired by the University in 1985 and converted to six bedroom suites, housing over 600 students.  The purpose of the present project is to 1) carry out a complete architectural and engineering assessment, and 2) establish a format and process for future Housing Upgrade Assessments.

dORMITORY ENGINEERING/DESIGN
Ang provided full engineering/design and geotechnical services for four new dormitories (27,880 GSF each) to house 148 students at the Keystone Job Corps Center.  The dormitories are to be one-story, slab-on-grade, insulated, conventionally constructed buildings that address economy, fire resistance, durability, and local construction methods.

UNIVERSITY PERFORMING ARTS CENTER
This project focused on adaptive reuse of a historic college building.  The project involved the complete interior renovation of the building including excavation of the building’s crawl space and a 2,100 SF underground addition.  Renovation included: a new sanitary system, HVAC, lighting, new seating, expansion of the existing lobby, new finishes, marble/wood floors and carpeting, repairs to existing stonework and slate roofing, plus new paving and landscaping exterior.
